Brief info

Christopher Baker holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Central Eurasian studies from Indiana University, Bloomington. He dis his major field in Soviet Central Asia, focusing on late Soviet era literary art, with minor fields in Russian history and the history of ancient and medieval Central Asia. Dr. Baker also holds an MA in European History from the University of Toronto. Currently, he works at AUCA as the Director of the Master of Arts in Central Asian Studies (MACAS) and as an assistant professor in the General Education department. He teaches Teaching Seminar in Literature: Encounters at the Edges of Empire in the MAT program.
